Dollar loses ground against the Yen, inches up against the Euro (AP) (19-03-2008)

NEW YORK (AP) -- The dollar retreated against the yen in late Tuesday night trading, falling to 99.93 yen from 100.00 yen it traded in the late afternoon, although it remained above the 12-year low of 95.77 it hit the previous day and better than Monday’s 98.04.

The greenback edged up slightly against the euro late Tuesday night in New York. The European currency slipped to $1.5659 from $1.5711 it traded in the late afternoon. The euro was still well below its all-time high of $1.5904 set Monday.
